Charges for preparation, travel, meals and parking are incorporated into the above fee structure for standard bookings.

Conferences, theatre performances and certain events will be billed exclusively to reflect the effort in preparation and execution. Preparation for these events may include:

  • Conference: reading papers and independent research on conference topics

  • Theatre: reading scripts, translation of script, Auslan consultant for the translation, attending rehearsals and performances, rehearsal of the prepared translated script

  • Musical Events: learning songs, translating songs, Auslan consultant for the translation, rehearsal of the prepared songs.

Captioning and Transcription services depend on the length and complexity of the item requiring captions/transcription. Bear in mind that it can take 5-10 times the length of a video to caption it, e.g. a 5min video may take 25-50 minutes to caption, edit, proof-read, etc.

Fees for Auslan Development Assessments will be negotiated to reflect the various part of the assessment required.

Deaf Friendly Rates can be negotiated.

Freo Friendly Rates apply to standard bookings within 5km of Fremantle.

 
 

 
 

OHS

Several factors will be considered during the booking process to determine how many interpreters may be required. These factors include:

  • length and nature of the appointment

  • speed and content of appointment

  • number of scheduled breaks

  • number of clients

It is the paying client’s responsibility to organise and pay for additional interpreters.

 
 

 
 

Policies and Conditions

A cancellation within 2 business days of the appointment will incur full costs.

If an appointment has an unpaid break of 1 hour or more, the two time slots will be classified as 2 separate appointments and the standard booking will apply to both bookings.

Appointments that include overnight stays will incur accommodation costs, transfers, flights, and time spent travelling to and from destination. This includes travelling from home to an airport (and return), time travelling in flight to a destination and return and all hours spent interpreting.

An invoice will be emailed no longer than 10 working days from the time of the appointment.

Payments are to be made via cheque, EFT, or Paypal within 14 days of invoicing. 10% loading every 30 days overdue.
